‘If I were to sum up the perfect design solution, it would have to be witty, sharp and to the point… and hopefully make you smile’
Originally trained as a graphic designer, I have produced many designs and illustrations for a large range of clients, including The Royal Festival Hall, The Royal National Theatre, The London Philharmonic, The Japan Foundation and The Levellers.
A long term project has been to create the visual identity for NMC, an award-winning record label who promote new music from across the British Isles. This has resulted in the production of over 250 CD covers, each design involving a combination of illustration, typography and photography.
In collaboration with my partner, knitwear designer Lucinda Guy, we created a series of knitting pattern books for Rowan. Photography and illustration were combined to create books which are fun, unique and distinct. These led to a small series of Learn to books aimed at children, which have proved very popular due to their fresh unique approach.
